08/18/2010 - Atlanta, GA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Atlanta Braves have placed infielder Troy Glaus on the 15-day disabled list with a sore left knee.

The move comes Wednesday afternoon, shortly after the team acquired veteran first baseman Derrek Lee from the Chicago Cubs for three minor league pitchers. Lee, ironically, is expected to first suit up with the Braves on Friday when they begin a three-game weekend series at Wrigley Field.

Glaus is batting .239 with 16 home runs and 70 runs batted in over 115 games this season. However, he has been mired in a prolonged slump, hitting just .173 over his last 51 games since June 13.
